QUETTA - Almost half of Balochistan once again plunged into darkness on Thursday night after a technical fault in the main Guddu Power Plant.According to Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) sources, the technical fault occurred in the main Guddu Power Plant. As a result, 16 out of 30 districts plunged into darkness. However, power supply was restored in Quetta after two hours. The breakdown of power created immense problems for the people and multiplying their woes in the holy month of Ramazan. The other districts which were affected due to power breakdown included Pishin, Noshki, Chagai, Mastung, Kalat, Khuzdar, Sibi, Bolan, Kharan, Washik, Qila Abdullah, Zhob, Qila Saifullah and Ziarat.Sources said that technical teams had been dispatched to fix the fault, adding power supply had been suspended to over 42 grid stations. It may be recalled that over 20 districts had plunged into darkness a week ago when power supply was suspended after a technical fault.
