PESHAWAR - Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter Vice Ameer Maulana Ataur Rehman has said that if opening of Taliban office is necessary it must be established in the Chief Minister House or Banigala in Islamabad. Addressing a news conference here at press club on Thursday, Maulana Ataur Rehman asked for holding Local Bodies elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that JUI-F also established a six members committee to review the new Local Government (LG) system and preparation for expected elections.
He said that a meeting of the party provincial executive council was held with JUI-F Provincial Ameer Maulana Shaikh Amanullah in the chair, which fully authorised the party district level leadership for making seat adjustment with any political party in their respective areas.
He said the meeting also decided to establish a six members committee under the chairmanship of JUI-F Provincial Secretary Information Jalil Jan, whereas other members Senator are Ghulam Ali, Fazal Ali Haqani, Maulana Amanat Shah, Mufti Shakor and Asif Iqbal Daudezai are included. Besides, MPA Azam Durrani, MPA Naeema Kishwar and Qazi Izazud Din and its first meeting would be held on October 5.
Maulana said that results of the bye-elections in Tank and Lakki Marwat were unacceptable to them and JUI-F had already approached the Election Commission of Pakistan against PTI government for using government machinery during election campaign in Dera Ismail Khan.
Reacting over the PTI central leaders Javid Hashmi and Sherin Mazari statement for amendments in the blasphemy law, he warned that no body could make amendments in the said law in the presence of JUI-F. He also said that appointing a controversial advocate general in the province was a series of this chain but we will not let them success in accomplishment of the Jewish agenda,” he added.
He also said that JUI-F condemns the suicide attack on All Saint Church in Kohati Gate and expressed sympathy with the Christian community in this sad incident and demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident.
Expressing grief over the loss of precious human lives and damages in Balochistan in the recent earthquake, he demanded the Balochistan government to ensure early relief package for the affected families and announce a package of rehabilitation for the affected people.
