The commission on new province finalised its recommendations signed by majority of members. The recommendations would soon be presented to the President and Speaker National Assembly.

The meeting of the parliamentary commission was held in Parliament House under the headship of its Chairman Senator Farhatullah Babar on Monday. During the meeting Dr. Farooq Sattar of MQM raised apprehension by saying that new provinces should be formed in the country, where these are needed on administrative grounds.
The only opposition party in the commission JUI-F gave the descend note stating that Dera Ghazi Khan should be included in Balochistan as in the past it was the part of Balochistan province. It also demanded that Bahawalpur should be made a province, whereas Bhakkar and Mianwali might be made another province.
During the meeting hot words between ANP and PML-Q members were also exchanged on the matter of Hazara province.
Chairman Farhatullah Babar said on the occasion that the people would soon hear ‘good news’ about the new province. He said that all the political parties participated in the meetings and gave suggestions by keeping aside their differences. He sought the assistance from PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif on new province.
