DERA ISMAIL KHAN - The parents of Robina, 14, a student of grade-7 have appealed to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and philanthropists for medical treatment of their daughter who has contracted a tumor in her brain.The father of the ailing girl, Gul Jan, resident of a flood-hit village of DIKhan district, Kech, told the media that his daughter Robina was a student of grade-VII at a govt girls middle school. She developed headache with constant fever. Gul Jan said that Robina was diagnosed with brain-tumor by local physicians. The doctors and health experts estimated the treatment cost of Robina was about Rs 0.5 million which was beyond the financial means of a poor family, who had lost every thing during the devastating floods in 2010 while the entire village of Kech was eliminated. Guljan deplored that he was already under debt because of reconstruction matters of his house. Robina has been admitted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, where she is undergoing treatment.
