8 Afghan militants shot dead in clash

SWAT – An Afghan militant armed group ambushed a security forces border post in the mountainous area of Pak-Afghan border at Upper Dir here on Thursday.

As per details, eight Afghan militants equipped with sophisticated weapons attacked security forces who were deputed at Upper Dir post. Security forces retaliated and opened heavy fire on them.  Both the sides used heavy artillery.  After the fierce battle security forces managed to kill eight Afghan militants while one security personnel was also killed in the clash.
