February 29, 2012

Rawalpindi - Citizens have protested against ever increasing illegal filling of gas cylinders business in the city.

The agencies engaged in the business of illegal filling of gas cylinders   are operating in every street and Mohall of the areas including Sadar Bazaar, railway road, Tench Bhatt, Chungi No 22 Bakra Mandi, Tahli Mohri, Dhok Sayedan, Misrial Road, Raja Bazar, Dhok Khabba, Satellite town, Pir Wadhai and others.

Several bloody incidents have occurred in these areas but no action has been taken towards closure of this business.
This business is continuing in connivance with police and the corrupt elements of the district administration therefore, no one takes to task those behind this bloody business, said a group of citizens.  A few days earlier announcement was made to launch operation against them but still this announcement is staying on the papers and no practical measures have been initiated to curb this business, said a group of traders.
In our street several illegal agencies are doing the business of filling the cylinders and for fear of any tragic incident we are forced to shift from this street, said Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Tahli Mohri.
Social and religious circles demanded immediate operation for elimination of the illegal gas filling agencies to avoid any fatal incident.
