Raja Azeem’s nomination as WB ED: SC grants 2 weeks

ISLAMABAD
The Supreme Court on Monday granted two weeks to a counsel for preparing the case over nomination of Raja
Azeem-ul-Haq, son-in-law of the PM, as the World Bank executive director.  A two-judge bench comprising Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Ejaz Afzal resumed hearing of the case. Afnan Kundi, counsel for Haq, sought time for preparing the case, which was accorded and further hearing adjourned for date to be fixed in office after two weeks.
Moreover, the bench was told that Aitzaz Ahsan, counsel for the Employees Old Age Benefits Institute (EOBI), had also sought adjournment.
