SARGODHA - The monsoon rain has exposed the substandard material used in construction of the building of Government Khaliqia High School and negligent committed by the contractor. It may prove to be hazardous for the students. Executive District Officer (Education) Chaudhry Muhammad Mansha dispatched a detailed report to the District Officer (Buildings) about the use of substandard material in the construction. The government had approved construction of the building at Block 17 situated in the middle of the city which was established before the partition of the Subcontinent and a half portion of the ancient building had been declared dangerous. The government conceded the grant of 3.3 million to build seven class rooms with verandas. The construction work was completed by the official contractor of the Buildings Department. The building has been handed over to the school administration and after rains, its roof has been submerged with rainwater while a rift has risen in the wall of the building. Moreover, the use of cheep electrical material also created problems and its floor has become rough with uneven surface. On the whole, the report sent to the DO (Buildings) and other authorities exposed six loopholes in the construction of the building.
