Mysterious fire burns shanties to ashes

CHI- Over a hundred shanties were burnt to ashes in a fire that broke out mysteriously at Gulshan-e-Iqbals Shanti Nagar in the Aziz Bhatti Police precincts on Friday. Three persons were also injured in the incident.
Official sources in the fire-brigade department said that cause of the fire could not be ascertained and suspected that it might be a human error. On being informed by unknown caller, the department sent immediately three fire-tenders.
They said the fire engulfed the shantytown completely before they reached the spot and hence they called more tenders for backup.
Later, three more fire brigade trucks along with two water-tankers reached scene of incident.
