NEW DELHI - Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was reportedly interrogated by Indian agencies for not having complete travelling documents.

Heading a delegation, Pakistan Muslim League (Q) chief was visiting the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti when he was interrogated.
"He (Shujaat) with his delegation was invited to a breakfast at a local hotel where Indian agency stopped him," according to reports. Before Pakistan Embassy intervened into the matter, Chaudhry Shujaat had already been interrogated for one hour.
Meanwhile, spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Muazzam Ahmed Khan has said that delegation accompanying Ch Shujaat Hussain did not experience anything 'unpleasant' in Ajmer Sharif, India.
Muazzam Ahmed Khan was of the view that the administration of Ajmer Sharif had just asked Ch Shujaat to show his passport. "The incident occurred due to misunderstanding between Indian foreign ministry and Ajmer Sharif administration," he added.
Meanwhile, PML-Q president, during the visit to Ajmer Sharif, said the message of Khwaja Ajmer was of peace and harmony, which can lead to progress.
Ch Shujaat was on a private visit to India. He offered Eid prayer at the mosque adjacent to the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti and offered 'Nawafil' there.
