ISLAMABAD - Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) Chairman Saeed Ahmed Khan on Tuesday said that Ogra would present the new formula for fixing CNG prices in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday and current prices would remain in effect until new prices were not decided.
Talking to the media after attending open hearing on CNG prices, the Ogra chairman said that he had received recommendations from the All Pakistan CNG Association about fixing new formula of gas prices. He said that Ogra would finalise the formula in its internal meeting on Wednesday.
The report will be presented in the Supreme Court on Thursday, he added.
Dismissing reservations of the CNG association regarding new prices notification,the Ogra chairman said that the notification was issued in compliance with the decision of the apex court.
Talking to the media, the representatives of the All Pakistan CNG Association said that the Supreme Court did not ask the government to abolish the operating cost so they had reservations on the CNG prices reduction. They said that they would inform the apex court about their stance on Thursday.
