Army, NWFP leaders take up post-conflict roadmap
ISLA MABAD - Pakistan Army and civilian leadership of NWFP Friday discussed the post-conflict management and settlement roadmap and decided to translate the given challenges with matching response into an opportunity. The meting was attended by Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvaz Kayani, who headed the selected senior officers group, while Governor NWFP Owais Ahmad Ghani and Chief Minister NWFP Amir Haider Khan Hoti led the civilian leadership. All concerned civil and military officials were present in the meeting. A detailed discussion was followed by a host of presentations to address various politico-administrative issues likely to be confronted in the affected areas of Malakand division. The civil and military leadership decided to accelerate such engagements to crystallise the options and refine the roadmap. The leadership reiterated that a matching response would be provided to the current challenges with collective 'will and wisdom to turn them into an opportunity.
