LAHO RE/BAHAWALPUR - Famous comic actor Murtaza Hasan, known as Mastana, passed away here at the Bahawal Victoria Hospital on Monday. He had been hospitalised for couple of days as he was caught by Hepatitis C. The actress had played different comic roles in the theatre world, films, and television for 35 years and widely regarded as the king of stage. He is survived by a widow and 18-year-old son Saad Hassan. His funeral was held at Markazi Janazagah in Bahawalpur, which was attended by people from various walks of life, including local politicians, actors and noted social figures and his fans. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard Noor Shah Bukhari in Bahawalpur.
