LAHO RE - The PTI will stage a sit-in in front of tParliament today to protest against governments policies and to mobilise the masses for ousting the rulers. The PTIs 'Azadi Dharna will be the second sit-in at the same venue while the first one was staged on August 6. PTI chief Imran Khan and central leaders will address the sit-in, which will be followed by fireworks at 12:00 midnight to kick off the celebrations of Independence Day. Talking to TheNation, the party chief said Pakistan came into being 65 years ago in the holy month of Ramazan. He said Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnahs vision of a model Islamic state was the driving force that united the Muslims of subcontinent to wage the struggle for Pakistan. He added, Unfortunately our self-serving rulers - both the military and the civilian - by their actions drifted away from the vision envisaged by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Today our nation has lost its sovereignty, our economy is in doldrums, the people are divided and without direction. This is the time to revive hope and mobilise the nation so that we can rise from the ashes and break the shackles of corruption, bad governance, slavery of foreign interests and decide that we can utilise our human and other resources to revive the spirit of Pakistan Movement. He said, We are determined to forge unity against all the challenges confronting the nation in its hour of need. The PTI is the only political party that has chosen the difficult path of political mobilisation in Ramazan.
