LAHO RE Taking notice of marking of fake attendance of legislators from across the political divide, Deputy Speaker Rana Mashood Ahmed directed placement of register in front of his desk in the House that initiated arguments at the Punjab Assembly floor on Wednesday. When the proceedings started, Law Minister Rana Sanaullah drew attention of the chair toward absence of those legislators whose attendance was marked at the register in the lobby but were not present in the House. There were only 27 legislators in the House while the register showed marking of attendance of 50. The chair directed placement of register in front of his desk to avoid the 'cheating and 'fraudulent activities. Law minister also read the names of the MPAs whose attendance was marked but were not present. According to the register, the MPAs whose attendance was marked but were not present in the House included Naveed Anjum, Haji Allah Rakha, Mian Mohsin Latif, Munawar Hussain Manjh, Muhammad Javed Bhatti, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa, Ibrar Hussain Shah, Rai Aslam, Dr Tahir Ali Javed, Maj (Retd) Abdur Rehman Rana, Malik Fayyaz, Assadullah, Mian Shahid Hussain, Sardar Khalid Saleem, Rahela Khadam, Laila Muqaddas, Riffat Sultana Dar, Farhana Afzal, Khadija Omer, Amina Ulfat and Qamar Amer.
