DESPITE Indian government’s warning on travelling to Pakistan, more than 200 Sikh devotees on Thursday went to Pakistan through Samjhota Express from the international Attari Railway Station, reported Press Trust of India (PTI).
According to officials at Attari Railway Station, Sikh devotees went to Pakistan to observe the birth anniversary of founder of Sikh religion Guru Nanak Dev at Nankana Sahib in Pakistan on November 2.
All the Sikh devotees were sponsored by different Sikh organisations including Bhai Mardana Yadgari Trust and Guru Nanak Dev Welfare Trust.
President of Shriomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Avtar Singh Makkar said that SGPC would send its jatha in the next couple of days.
