WSF plaque unveiled
By SAADIA QAMAR November 19, 2008 KARACHI - Finally, the World Social Forum plaque was unveiled after almost two years since its inception, which took place in the city in March 2006. It had been placed at the City Sports Complex with the slogan “Another World is possible” written by John William Pervez.
As per detail, Karamat Ali, the spokesman from PILER that rounds about 40,000 people had participated the World Social Forum in 2006. The people have been encouraged to participate to enhance peace initiatives over the world.
Next WSF function is to be held in Brazil in Jan 2009.”
Nasreen Jaleel, the Naib Nazim, CDGK expressed that WSF have had people belonging to different class, color and creed. It is an inspirational song and our party manifesto to belies the same rules. Jafar, the composer of the song, expressing his thoughts elaborated that he had to pass restless nights while composing this masterpiece. Nayyara Noor sang the original Urdu version of it, believing it had strong emotions and showed the pursuits of unrequited love.
