Canoe three-peat for France's Estanguet

LONDON - French slalom canoeist Tony Estanguet sealed his third gold medal on Tuesday with victory in the C1 class final. He emulated his wins at the 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Games with a superb display to take gold ahead of Germany's Sideris Tasiadis and Slovakia's Michal Martikan. The triumph made up for Estanguet's nightmare at the Beijing Games, where he failed to reach the final. Estanguet's family has a rich heritage in canoeing, with father Henri winning silver and bronze medals in the World Championships in 1970s and brother Patrice winning a bronze at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
