T20 WC: Pakistan set 150-run target against Australia

Nasir Jamshed's fluent half-century and Kamran Akmal's knock of 32 lifted Pakistan to 149 for six against Australia in their crucial ICC World T20 Super Eights clash in Colombo on Tuesday.

Put in to bat first, Pakistan crawled to a decent first innings total after their openers failed to provide a good start.Pakistan were jolted early in the second over when Mitchell Starc trapped Mohammad Hafeez in front of the wickets for four, providing Australia some momentum early on.
The left-arm lanky pacer almost had Nasir Jamshed’s crucial wicket, but Glenn Maxwell spilled it in the first slip to provide the Pakistan batsman a lifeline.
Jamshed made most of the opportunity, scoring a fluent 55 off 46 deliveries with the help of two sixes and four boundaries.
Jamshed joined forces with wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal and added 79 runs for the third wicket, strengthening Pakistan’s positioning in the game.
