Office-bearers of PSWF elected

LAHORE - Elections of Pakistan Sports Writers Federation (PSWF) were held and senior sports journalist Shahid Shaikh and Amjad Aziz Malik were elected president and secretary of the body at a general council on Sunday.

Outgoing president Rashid Saddique presided over the meeting at Karachi which elected office bearers for a fresh term of four years, said a spokesman of the PSWF here.
Following were elected, Shahid Shaikh (Punjab) president, Naseem Hameed (Balochistan) senior vice president, Sohail Ali (Punjab) and Abdul Rehman (KP) vice presidents, Amjad Aziz Malik (KP) secretary, Shahzad Malik (Punjab) and Namood Muslim (RISJA) associate secretaries and Aamir Raza Khan (Punjab) treasurer.
Members of the executive committee are Adnan Tariq (KP), Nadir Khawaja (KP), Rana Irfan (Balochistan), M Ajmal (Balochistan), Ejaz Ahmad Bhatti (Balochistan) and Syed Ali Hashmi (Punjab).
The newly elected president presided over the executive committee meeting which took important decisions and constituted various committees for the smooth working of the body whereas the disciplinary, implementation, finance, constitution, printing and publication committees were also formed.
The house decided that the next executive committee meeting will be held in September in Lahore while the next congress meeting will be held at Peshawar from January 18 to 21, 2013.
