West Indies beat Australia in World T20 semi-final

The West Indies demolished Australia by 74 runs Friday to reach their first World Twenty20 final, where they will play hosts Sri Lanka.

The Windies rode on Chris Gayle's unbeaten 75 off 41 balls to pile up 205-4 and then bowled Australia out for 131 in 16.4 overs at Colombo's Premadasa stadium, which is also the venue for Sunday's final. Brief scores: West Indies 205-4 in 20 overs; Australia 131 all out in 16.4 overs.
