LAHORE/ISLAMABAD/KARACHI – Brilliant bowling by Adil Sardar helped Income Tax to thrash PEB by 161 runs in Patron’s Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament here at the Railways Stadium on Thursday.

Chasing the 326 runs target, PEB were bowled out for 165 runs in 36.1 overs. M Asad (55) and Zainullah (37) played well. Adil Sardar grabbed 3/46.
At Country Club Muridke, Port Qasim outpaced PAF by eight wickets. PAF resumed their innings with 25-1 and were bowled out for 128 runs and set Port Qasim 69 runs victory target which they achieved after losing two wickets in seven overs. Shahzaib Hasan (41) played well.
Fahim Ahmed destroyed Pak Steel Mills batting with 6/42 to steer Customs to win. Fahim finished the match with 10 for 124. Pak Steel bowled out for 154. Customs had scored 379/9 in first innings and scored 315 in the second outing. But the Steel men failed utterly in the second knock falling prey to Fahim Ahmed.
At NBP Stadium, Sindh Police won by 8 wickets against Saudi Cricket International . Saudi Cricket International which had scored 180 in the first innings did better in the second and mustered 299 and set 33 runs victory target which they achieved after the loss of two wickets. The third match in Group A played at UBL Ground between Omar associates and Pakistan Navy ended in a draw.
In the match at Army Cricket Ground, Army were bowled out for 152 runs. Adnan Younis scored brilliant 74 runs. Hamza Nadeem destroyed Army batting by claiming 7/44.
CDA required only two runs for victory which they managed on the first ball of their second innings without losing a wicket.
In another match at Diamond ground, SSGC thrashed Humak Engineering by 10 wickets. Humak Engineering were bowled out for 205 runs in their second innings thus SSGC required 71 runs for victory which they managed in 14.1 overs without conceding a wicket.
In the match of Group B at National ground, PTV beat Medicam by eight wickets. Earlier Medicam were bowled out for 291 in 78.1 overs with Naved Sarwar scoring brilliant 151 runs. PTV required 59 runs for victory, which they managed in 9.5 overs for the loss of two wickets.
