LAHORE – Centurion NasirJamshed (131) helped Punjab to post 341 runs for 6 wickets in 91.4 overs on the second day of the fourth round match of Faysal Bank Pentangular Cup (first-class) 2011-2012 cricket tournament here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.
Punjab resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 59 for no loss and went on to score 341 runs for the loss of six wickets and secured 116 runs first innings lead against Sindh at stump. Nasir Jamshed cracked 16 boundaries in his 131 runs knock while Saad 59, Usman Salahuddin 57 not out, Yasin 29 and Asif Raza 24 also batted well for Punjab.
From Karachi Tanvir Ahmed got 3/95 while Faraz Ahmed took 2/50. Riazuddin and Ahmad Shahab are umpires of the match while Aziz-ur-Rehman is the match referee.
In another match played at Multan Stadium Multan, Baluchistan have grabbed 44 runs lead against Federal Areas Baluchistan resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 223/8 and were all out for 229 in 91.4 overs. In reply Federal Areas were crashed out for 185 in 41.1 overs.
Baluchistan were 138 for 4 in their second and leading Federal Areas by 182 runs with 6 wickets in hand. Rasheed Bhatti and Kamal Merchant were supervising the match while Musaddaq Rasool is acting as match referee.
