Former skipper shocked at football exclusion

LAHO RE Former national skipper Ghulam Rabbani has lambasted the National Games organisers for not including football in the mega event. He also suggested them to change the name of the event. The National Games should be renamed as Indoor Games, said Rabbani. National Women team coach Tariq Lutfi said Its a joke. The national side is going through a rough patch and it is time that the authorities back our team to lift it, he said. Meanwhile, Pakistan Sportsmen Welfare Association (PSWA) 's Secretary General Manzoor Ali Arif criticised those behind excluding football from the National Games. He termed it very discouraging decision. He said football being a most-watched sports gave prime and identity to the country at all level in many competition of Asia, the football players achieved name and fame to Pakistanis living all across the world.
