Canada’s Bouchard wins Wimbledon girls’ crown

WIMBLEDON - Canada’s Eugenie Bouchard claimed the Wimbledon girls’ title Saturday with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ukraine’s Elena Svitolina. The 18-year-old, ranked 304 on the WTA list and playing her first Grand Slam singles event, was the first Canadian woman to get to a final in a major since Sonja Jeyaseelan at the 1994 French Open.
