Two Pakistani swimmers selected for London Olympics



ISLAMABAD - Two Pakistani swimmers – one male and one female – were selected by the FINA, based on their performance in 14th FINA World Championships, Shanghai China 2011, to participate in the swimming competition of London Olympics 2012, this was informed by an official on Friday.
The FINA has confirmed entries for the swimmers. Athlete Israr Hussain and Anum Bandey were selected for male 100m freestyle, female 400m individual medley respectively, he said. Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) and Pakistan Women’s Swimming Association (PSWA) wished both the swimmers best of luck for the Games and also thanked Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) which had extended all possible support to the federation to help achieve this milestone, he concluded.
