LAHORE – Bank Alfalah defeated National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) by 92 runs in the first semi-final of Inter Banking Twenty20 Championships here at Model Town Whites Ground on Tuesday.
Batting first, Bank Alfalah piled up a good total of 253 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs. Syed Salman Ahmed smashed brilliant 92 runs while Safdar Ali remained unbeaten on 75 and Rizwan Shafiq made 56. Waja Saeed, Yar Muhammad and Khuram Abbas got one wicket each.
In reply, NBP could manage only 161 runs for eight wickets. Ismail Rehman made 45 and Hafeezur unbeaten 43. Yaseen took two wickets for three while Sheikh Rashid Rauf got 2-31.
