LAHORE - The discarded Pakistan batsman Imran Nazir is still determined to make a comeback to the national team and believes that he has the ability to win games for his country single-handedly.The aggressive batsman last represented Pakistan in the T20 series against England in 2010, before being neglected by the selectors. Imran has been doing brilliantly in the T20 format in the domestic competitions; however, he has been labelled as a player who throws away his wicket most of the times.The batsman from Sialkot Stallions has been included in Pakistan's preliminary squad of 30 for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 which will be held in Sri Lanka in September.Some of the former cricketers have been urging the selectors to give him another go at the highest level of the game, because Nazir, they feel, is the most naturally gifted batsman in the country.Speaking to Pakpassion, the right-hander admitted that he has miserably failed to justify his talent over the years but claimed that he has now matured as a cricketer and will not disappoint, if given another stint in the international sport."I feel that now is my time to be playing international cricket as I think that I am a far better batsman these days, a more complete batsman, a batsman who has the ability to single-handedly win a match for Pakistan," Imran said. "I would like nothing better to be given another chance to play for my country."The stylish batsman impressed one and all in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) earlier this year and vows to do the same in the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL), which is scheduled to begin next month. Nazir hopes to be contracted by more franchises all around the world as he is a genuine match-winner in the shortest format of the game."Bangladesh Premier League was an enjoyable experience and I'm also looking forward to the Sri Lankan Premier League too.
