Nofil loses in Asian junior quarters

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan number 1 under-14 tennis player Nofil Kaleem Imam lost his quarterfinal match against Jausha of Sri Lanka after a tough three set battle in the Asian Junior U-14 Championship circuit II currently underway in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Wednesday. But he along with his partner Nabeel reached the doubles semi-final of the event after beating the opponents in the quarterfinals.
Kamran Khalil, coach of Nofil while talking exclusively to this correspondent from Colombo said: “Nofil was completely outclassed in the first set by Jausha as Nofil fail to even win a single game and lost the first set 6-0, but he bounced back and won the second set 6-4. The battle reached at its peak in the third set as both players played some lovely shots and hold on to their serves till the seventh game, before Jausha managed to win three games consecutively to take the third set 6-3, thus winning the match 6-0, 4-6 and 6-3 in 65 minutes.”
