KARACHI - The 17th edition of Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Open Golf will be held here at Karachi Golf Club from June 28 to July 1.

Disclosing the details of the tournament, Commodore Abdul Aleem said: “The competition will be held in professional, amateur, junior boys, ladies, senior professionals, and veteran categories. The main and senior professional and the amateur event will be contested over 72 holes while the junior, ladies and seniors will be held over 18 holes. The veterans’ event will be played on nine holes.”
Besides the prize money, there would be Toyota Vigo Champ car for hole in one for the professional event and two golf sets for hole-in-one hit for amateurs.
The opening ceremony of the 17th CNS Open Golf Championship was held at Karachi Golf Club. Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Khawaja Ghazanfar teed off on the picturesque KGC course during the opening ceremony. Patron PN Golf and Director Tournament Commodore Abdul Aleem highlighted the role and achievements of Pakistan Navy in promoting different sports like rowing, sailing, rifle shooting and especially golf.
He said that Pakistan Navy was playing a significant role in the promotion of golf at the organisation, inter services, national and international level. Holding CNS Golf Championship successfully since 1995 manifests PN’s involvement.
