ISLAMABAD - Indian handicapped team beat  Pakistan Handicapped cricket team by 11 runs in the one-off first ever T20 International here at Shalimar cricket ground on Saturday.
Batting first, Indian openers provided 70 runs stand for the first wicket in 7 overs before Rana Ishfaq provided Pakistan a much-needed breakthrough in the 8th over but Indian later order batsmen keep momentum going and piled up 194/5 in 20 overs. Sarang Chafale (35), Ravi Bajal (34), Tusar Paul (31) and Abdul Khalek (28) made good contributions besides 31 extras. For Pakistan Rashid Ali 2/31 Pakistan opener M Adeel with his 18-ball 39 runs laid good foundation for Pakistan and collected 63 runs in 6 overs before Adeel ran himself out while stealing a cheeky single. After Adeel departure middle order failed but Asad Laghari almost single-handedly took match away from India but visitors hold their nerves and did not give up that paid off and they restricted Pakistan to 183/6.
Asad made 66 off 45 ball with 3 four and 4 sixes. Sarang Chafale adjudged man of the match on his all-round show.
Faisal Sakhi Butt was the chief guest on the inaugural ceremony. He lauded the efforts of Pakistan Association of Physically Handicapped for arranging this series. He also announced Rs 1 lac for the Association.
Zahid Maqbool, former president Islamabad Chamber and Commerce and Industry was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony he gave away the winning trophy to Indian captain Gunudas and cash prize of Rs 5000 from his pocket to man of the match Sarang Chafale along with a trophy. The 40-over first One-day will be played today at 10:30 am at Shalimar Cricket Ground.
