Ravi shines in Indian team win


ISLAMABAD - Ravi Patel's blistering 134 steered Indian Handicapped cricket team to 128-runs victory over Pakistan in the first One-day here at Shalimar cricket ground on Sunday.
India pilled up 360/6 in allotted 40 overs.  Opener Ravi Patel cracked superb century with 16 fours and three sixes and was ably supported by Abdul Khalik (80*, 11x4, 2x6) and Utpal Manjandur made 67. Sohail Ahmed (3/62) bowled well from Pakistan.
Chasing the mammoth total, Pakistan could score 232 runs all out in 33.5 overs.  Alamgir smashed unbeaten 79 runs while Junaid Khan made 33. Iqbal Khan (3-29) and Sarang (2-51) bowled well. Ravi Patal was declared man of the match.
Pakistan Baitul Maal chairman Zamurd Khan was the chief guest on the prize distribution ceremony while Indian High Commission’s first secretary Janardan Singh also visited there to meet Indian team players.
The second ODI of the MOL Pak-India series will be played today (Monday) at the same venue at 10:30am.
