ISLAMABAD - Second Syed Tajamul Abbas Shaheed Memorial Tennis Championship 2012 will be held here at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex from August 27 to September 2, said Senator Dilawar Abbas on Saturday.

Dilawar said that the main aim of organising this event is to pay tribute to my great brother who laid down his life in a tennis court while he was the chief guest at an event.
He said the championship carried a total cash prize of Rs 100,000 which would be distributed among the winning players. The events that will be contested during the seven-day championship are men's singles, ladies singles, boys u-18 singles and boys u-14 singles.
The deadline for submitting the entries of the tournaments is August 26 by 2pm sharp. All the players who want to participate are advised to contact tournament referee Shahzad Akhtar.
