Cricket diplomacy vital for Pak-India relations

ISLAMABAD:  Former Ambassador of Pakistan BA Malik said people of Pakistan and India are fond of cricket therefore, cricket diplomacy can play a positive role for strengthening Pak-India relations.  Talking to Radio Pakistan, BA Malik said China made good use of Ping Pong and got rid of its isolation in the international community. 

He added Pakistan and India can improve their relations through cricket diplomacy by following the China’s example.  BA Malik said there are people in Pakistan and India who do not want the restoration of cricket matches between the two countries.  He added that Bal Thakray in India threatens against the resumption of cricket series between the two countries, while such kind of people are also present in Pakistan.  BA Malik maintained that Pakistan and India should control Bal Thakray like people to improve their relations.
