Asad vows good show against Lanka

LAHORE – Pakistan middle order batsman Asad Shafiq has vowed that he would perform well and try his best to help his team to victory with his good performance.
Talking to the reporters here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday, Asad said that Pakistan team preparations were up to the mark regarding upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
“We are preparing well here at the Gaddafi Stadium under the able guidance of head coach Dav Whatmore who is striving hard to make us fully ready to face well a bit tough Sri Lankan team which has home ground advantage,” he said.
Talking about weather conditions, he said: “The weather of Pakistan and Sri Lanka is almost same so it will not affect our performance and we will not only play well but also try hard to steer our team to victory.”
“I will try to give same performance which I have given against Australia in the recent World Cup. I am practicing well in the camp and I am hopeful of good show during the Sri Lanka series. To a query, Asad replied: “A good number of talented and experienced batsmen in the team create the challenging atmosphere in the team and then every one tried to do his best to perform well and maintain his place in the team.”
