ISLAMABAD - Farhan Zaman, Mansoor Zaman, Waqar Mehboob and Waqas Mehboob reached the semi-finals of the National Seniors Squash Championship by defeating their respective opponents in the quarterfinals here at Jansher Khan Squash Complex, Abbottabad on Thursday. Mehboob Khan, father of Pakistan’s top squash player Farhan Mehboob, said this while talking to this scribe on Thursday.  In the first quarterfinal, Mansoor Zaman beat Sheikh Saqib 3-0, Mansoor took the first game 11-8, second 11-9 and third 15-13. In the second quarterfinal, Farhan Zaman beat Shah Nawaz 3-0 as the score line was 11-9, 11-6 and 11-4. In the third quarterfinal, Waqar Mehboob of ZTBL beat Owais Khan 3-0, 11-8, 11-6 and 11-3 and in the fourth and last quarterfinal, Waqas Mehboob also of ZTBL thrashed Bilal Zakir 3-0 as Waqas won the match 11-8, 11-1 and 11-6, he said. Waqas faces Waqar Mehboob in the first semi-final while Farhan Zaman will vie against his brother Mansoor Zaman at 6pm, Mehboob concluded.
