LAHORE (PR) - A three-day annual sports gala of Government Islamia College Railway Road has concluded with an atmosphere of exhilaration and jubilation in its historical ground, said a press release.
MPA Salman Rafique and Major (Retd) Zubair Qayyum graced the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
On third and final day of sports gala, finals of various completions were played including 100 metre race, tug-of-war between Principal XI and Chief Guest XI, staff race and old boys’ race.
At the concluding moments of games, college principal Amjad Ali Shakir eloquently addressed the students and highlighted the importance of sports activities in the life of students. On this occasion, Salman Rafiq pledged to help the historical institutions monetarily in a bid to uplift sports activities.
