ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) North Telecom Region-I won the annual inter-regional cricket tournament after a nail-biting contest, held at Marghazar Cricket Ground on Monday.
A large number of PTCL employees and their families witnessed the match in which five regional of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, NTR-I -II and HTR-AJK regions played 10 league matches.
In the final match, NTR-I beat ITR. PTCL EVP Business Zone North, Abdul Sattar Naeem; EVP Technical, Dr Riaz Inayat; and EVP Admin M Yaqoob were guests of honour
on the occasion. In a colourful prize distribution ceremony, Abdul Sattar Naeem gave the champions’ Trophy to NTR-1. Abdul Manan of NTR-I was declared man of the match, while Khurram Khushal Khan (RTR), Shahid Saeed (NTR-1) and Umer Farooq (ITR) received trophies for best batsman, best bowler and man of the series, respectively.
