Around five people were killed in US drone strike in Nargoosa area of tehsil Azam Warsak on Monday. Official sources said that US drone fired two missiles, targeting a vehicle in Nargoosa area of Wana, headquarters of South Waziristan Agency, killing five suspected militants at the spot. The vehicle was completely destroyed while the drones were seen flying over the area after the strike causing hindrance to rescue efforts. Locals sources said that bodies of those killed in the drone strike were charred and beyond recognition. Identities of the deceased were not yet ascertained. US drone strikes have been publicly condemned by the politicians and the locals, terming them as clear violation of Pakistans sovereignty in which several innocent tribals have been killed on the pretext of killing insurgents hiding in the rugged tribal belt. Pakistan has asked US administration to stop drone strikes which are counterproductive and demanded to equip Pakistans with the drone technology so that it was used in a better and effective way against the insurgents but US has not accepted the demand as yet.
