An accountability court adjourned the hearing of petitions for the withdrawal of NAB cases against Interior Minister Rehman Malik till July 13. During Thursday's hearing, NAB lawyer Jameel Awan presented his arguments for withdrawing the cases against the minister. The court refused to give an immediate verdict on the matter saying the minister's counsel was not present at the hearing. The court was told that Counsel for Rehman Malik could not appear before the court due to his pending engagements. The accountability court's judge Ch Abdul Haq further enquired whether it was appropriate to withdraw the cases before the superior courts' judgment regarding the minister's presidential pardon. On this the court adjourned the hearing till July 13.
