Iran closes Zero Point

QUETTA (PPI) - Iranian authorities have closed the Zero Point along the Pak-Iran border following the bomb explosion at a mosque in the border city of Zahedan in which around 25 worshippers lost heir lives. According to details, the decision has resulted in suspension of bilateral trade and movement of the people. Zahedan is located about 80 km from Taftan, a tiny town bordering Iran in Pakistan. Meanwhile, people in the border areas of Pakistan and Iran are very much worried as they, especially those living on this side of border, exchange daily use items from Iran and Pakistan at cheaper rates. Suspension of two-way trade has not only affected the business community but also the working class, as they are dependent upon cross-border dealings. People of the area have demanded Pakistani authorities to find out a permanent solution of the problem because closure of border is causing immense hardships.
