Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has directed the provincial governments to establish separate departments and allocate more funds for research in them to promote science and technology. In his address at the 16th convocation of the Comsats Institute of IT in Islamabad, the prime minister said that the role of students is important in development of the country. He said that the present government is formulating a policy with the consultation of the related persons and action plan is being prepared. The prime minister said that the role of private sector is important in development of the country and for this cooperation between private and public sectors be improved.
