ISLAMABAD - One soldier was injured while 13 terrorists including Commander Naeem Ullah were killed in Swat and Dir districts during the past 24 hours. An ISPR update on Rahe-Rast operation issued on Friday said that the security forces had also injured 24 militants and recovered a lot of arms, ammunition and equipment in Swat and Dir. It said that security forces conducted house to house search operation at Kabbal and Akun Kalle and recovered three rifles, two pistols, one communication set and 30 mobile phone SIMs and ammunition of various calibres. During search operation at Zara Khella security forces recovered 16 rifles, two IEDs, two pistols and safety fuses/detonators and ammunition of various calibres. A soldier was injured while defusing IED. During search operation at Gokdara and Tandodag areas, two terrorists were killed in exchange of fire. Two SMGs and cache of arms and ammunition were also recovered. Security forces carried out search operation at terrorists hideouts at Nawakilli and Mingora and recovered three single cabins, ten propaganda cassettes, one tape recorder, one radio, 200 sand bags, stamps and letter pads of TTP and computer accessories. Security forces conducted search operation near Shah Daheri area. During exchange of fire with terrorists ten were killed and 20 terrorists were injured. The house of terrorist Shamso was destroyed. Security forces also recovered two IEDs, three misfired rounds of 81 mortars, ten liters acid, one rifle and an Under Ground Tunnel. Armed Lashkar conducted house to house search at Aurghar, Adinzai and Ghaziage. During exchange of fire with terrorists four persons (Lashkar) were martyred and two were injured, while four terrorists were apprehended and Commander Naeem Ullah was killed. Terrorists demolished PTCL exchange at Zinda Darra, Lower Dir. Rations were distributed in 600 off camp IDP families of Nowshera District. So far Army has donated 1790 tons of rations for distribuiton amongst the IDPs of Malakand Division. As many as 65,702 cash cards were distributed and Rs 921.3 million were drawn by the IDPs.
