Altaf questions military, ISI silence on Ladens killing

Altaf Hussain, chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), has called on rulers to take the nation into confidence regarding facts behind the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in a US raid in Abbottabad. In a statement issued from MQM London Secretariat, he urged President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to call a round-table conference of political and religious parties within the next 48 hours and brief them about the situation. Altaf Hussain further said that chiefs of all three armed forces and ISI chief Shuja Pasha should also be called to the meeting. He demanded that participants of the conference take the nation into confidence about the US raid and killing of Osama bin Ladin. In addition, the MQM chief questioned the silence of military and ISI regarding US raid in Abbottabad. Under the prevailing circumstances, all countries are criticizing the Pakistani government and our security agencies. On one hand, the President of worlds super power and his aides were watching live operation inside Pakistan, on the other hand, our government was busy in oath-taking ceremonies, he noted. The MQM chief also criticized Prime Minister Gilani for going ahead with his tour to France at this critical time. He asked the government and security agencies to apologize to nation for this negligence and review their previous policies.
