Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief and former Premier Nawaz Sharif said it is the first time in the national history that PCO judges have practically been sent home. Addressing the party workers here in London, the apex court verdict is landmark in the national history, urging on the Army to solemnly pledge with the nation that it will never run afoul of the constitution. Nawaz Sharif said the parliament could make history by cancelling the 17th constitutional amendment. He demanded for enforcement of the Article 6 of the constitution. He further added that 'The judiciary set off on the process of self-accountability process and we will have to be on the same path; if not, the country will have to suffer irreparable loss. He observed every era of martial law is marked with a war, which was forced on the nation. Nawaz remarked though Pakistan is a nuclear state, it is economically feeble, adding no salient work was done for the national progress in the eight-year of autocratic rule in the country.
