The PML-N president Nawaz Sharif said Friday that the government should ban all such political parties who have militant wings and send references against them to the Supreme Court. While addressing a press conference in Daulatpur, Nawaz said that Karachi was a peaceful city but the peace was destroyed and those who are involved in such heinous act, cannot serve the country. He alleged that the present government is involved in spoiling the situation and that politics should not be done at the cost of peace. He demanded that the government should send references against all such parties who are involved in causing upheaval and have militant wings. The PML-N chief continued saying that the government is not interested in solving problems of the masses and it is wasting the resources that are meant to serve the people. He said that the corrupt are still occupying key posts despite plundering. We are Pakistanis and would continue to serve the nation, he said. When asked about All Parties Conference (APC), the PML-N leader said that the Pakistan's foreign policy needs to be synchronized with the national interests while the internal and foreign policies need to be amended. Later addressing a large gathering of flood affectees, Mian Nawaz Sharif hit hard the government for its failure to meet the needs of the marooned people. He questioned as to why the prime minister was not spending Rs29 billion which are lying as discretionary grant. He demanded that every family whose house has been damaged in rains and flood must be paid one lakh rupees. Nawaz Sharif said he has come from Punjab to help the Sindhi brethren to get their rights. He said over 600 trucks with relief goods have already reached from Punjab and 20 trucks with essential supplies provided by the provincial government are reaching the affected areas daily. He wondered that while most of the rulers in Pakistan were from Sindh but they did not pay any attention to resolve problems of the people. He said that so many people have drowned in floods but no one is worried about them. The PML-N president said only a revolution will change the lives of the youths and a new Pakistan will emerge. He said Pakistan is not a poor country but it has been made so by the PPP government through corrupt practices.
