An earthquake of 5.7 magnitude Wednesday morning jolted different areas of Balochistan and Sindh creating panic among the people. According to Met Office tremors of 5.7 intensity on Richter Scale were felt in various districts of Balochistan and Sindh provinces at about 6:15am. Most of the people were slept at the time of quake after sehri and offering fajar prayers who rushed out of their houses in panic. The people seemed terrified of the tremours and despite passage of several hours of the jolts they felt hesitant to go inside their houses. The Met Office sources said that the epicenter of the earthquake was located near Kharaan area of Balochistan. The earthquake jolts were also recorded in Kalat, Khuzdar, Shahdadkot, Karachi and some other areas of the two provinces.
