QUETTA - A man was killed while two others injured including a senior doctor apparently in incident of sectarian killing in the provincial capital on Tuesday. According to sources, unidentified motorcyclists armed with automatic weapons opened indiscriminate firing on the vehicle of Doctor Nadir hailing from Shia community on Peer Abu Al-Khair Road and escaped from the site after committing crime. Resultantly, driver of the vehicle identified as Shahbir Hussain succumbed to his injuries on the spot while Doctor Nadir and his guard Ghulam Hussain sustained serious wounds and were rushed to Civil Hospital for medical treatment. Soon after the incident, police reached the site and started investigation. Police sources said that attack on the doctor could be incident of sectarian killing. However, investigations were underway to ascertain the real causes. The sources said that Doctor Nadir had also escaped an armed attack on his life in 2003.
