Spokesman of former President Pervez Musharraf and central leader All Pakistan Muslim League Barrister Mohammad Ali Khan Saif said that the people of Pakistan by pledging more than Rs 200 million in a telethon of Pervez Musharraf have reposed confidence in the former President. Talking to various party delegations the APML spokesperson said that the manner in which Pakistani people pledged their donations at Pervez Musharraf's telethon for aid of flood affectees on a private TV channel shows that he is still a popular leader and they remember his tenure and want to see him come back to power. He said that Pervez Musharraf by again making a comeback could end lawlessness, unemployment and poverty. He said that after this success the former president would hold another telethon on CNN later this month for the aid of flood affectees. He said the telethon would be attended by former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Hollywood movie stars and UN good will ambassador Angelina Jolie. He said that homes would be constructed for the flood affectees and livestock would be bought from them from the proceeds of this telethon. With regard to return of Pervez Musharraf he said that in October Pervez Musharraf would formally announce his political party and than he would return to country to participate in the polls.
