6000 people being monitored for having links with militant network, NA Body told

More than 6000 people are being strictly monitored on charge of having links with the militants network and have been included in 4th schedule, this was revealed in the session of National Assembly (NA) Standing committee for Human Rights. The meeting under NA Standing committee for Human Rights, presided by Chairman Riaz Fatyana held here on Thursday. Brigadier Javed Lodhi, leader National Crisis Management cell disclosed that more than 6000 people are being strictly monitored on charges of having links with the militants and have been included in 4th schedule while 27 outfits have been banned. Chairman Riaz Fatyana took strict notice of flouting of human rights and condemned violation of human rights in IHK. While briefing the meeting Brigadier Javed Lodhi, leader National Crisis Management Cell said that the government took several steps to improve law and order situation and 27 organizations have been banned and 6000 people are under surveillance and have been directed to report to police station every week and do not leave place without informing the police. The hideouts of Taliban have been removed while influence of militants has decreased in the country. He told that the religious Madrassas where training of militants were being reported are being monitored and if the reports would prove true then action would be taken against such seminaries. He further told that the Madrassas would be registered under Madrassa Registration Authority while security clearance of foreigner students from Interior ministry of Pakistan and their own country would be essential. After security clearance the students would be enrolled in the schools.
